Mount Windows folder on ubuntu

1. install cifs utils

   $ sudo apt-get install cifs-utils

2. create a folder on ubuntu to mount

   $ sudo mkdir /media/windowsshare

3. create a credential file of windows username and password

   $ sudo vi /home/<username>/.smbcredentails

    and add below line with windows username and password in it

    username=<username>

    password=<password>

4. create a folder in windows (name as "vishal") and share this folder with anyone by click on properties->advance properties

5. now edit your fstab in ubuntu

   $ sudo vi /etc/fstab

  and add below line in it

   //<ip of window>/vishal /media/windowsshare cifs credentails=/home/<username>/.smbcredentails,iocharset=utf8,sec=ntlm

5. now quit file and run below command

  $ sudo mount -a

now you can view your files on both (windows and ubuntu)..
